The highly anticipated Miss Pacific Islands 2025 pageant will occur in Solomon Islands in early February.
This year’s event will feature a remarkable lineup of eight contestants representing Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Kiribati, Nauru, Cook Islands, Tonga, American Samoa and the Solomon Islands.
Speaking at a media conference today at the Heritage Park Hotel, Pageant Director Joyce Konofilia is optimistic that the event will be successfully hosted and promises a vibrant celebration of culture, beauty, and empowerment.
“Despite delays in funding from the Solomon Islands Government, I am optimistic that the upcoming Miss Pacific Islands Pageant in Honiara will succeed,” Ms Konofilia said.
Solomon Islands secured the opportunity to host the event during the last Miss Pacific Pageant held in Nauru in 2024.
The successful bid marks the second time the country will host the event. The first for the Solomon Islands was hosted in 2013.
Ms. Konofilia confirmed that the event is scheduled to take place from February 1 to February 8, 2025.

“The main events include a speech day, float day, and the crowning night, but leading up to these highlights, we have had numerous community and charity visits planned,” she stated.
She emphasized the importance of community involvement and therefore encouraged Solomon Islanders to take ownership of the event.
“We have dedicated our time and resources to ensure the public can interact with the contestants; we want the people of Solomon Islands to feel connected to this event.”

She added that the pageant will feature activities throughout Honiara, extending to Kakabona, where contestants will engage with local communities.
Several prizes have already been secured through sponsorships, but organizers are inviting more interested businesses to step out and contribute and promote their brands.
The current sponsors for the awards include:
● Coral Seas Casino: Overall Winner – USD 5,000

● Solomon Islands Ports Authority: Talent Award
