The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant 2025 officially kicks off on Sunday, February 2, in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
The launch marks the beginning of an exciting week for the 8 Pacific Islands beauty contestants as they embark on their journey to become the 2025 Miss Pacific Islands in the final event on February 8th.
As part of the launch, reigning Miss Pacific Islands, Moemoana Safa’ato’a Schwenke of Samoa, updated reporters in a press conference about some of the outcomes of their meeting today.
“We have just finished briefing our official Pacific Islands contestants. They have selected their contestant numbers, as well as their pre-pageant interview topics,” she announced.
She said these topics are important for the final scoring of the Miss Pacific Islands title and crown.
Moemoana emphasized that the Miss Pacific pageant is a unique event, stating, “The Miss Pacific Islands pageant is all about preserving, promoting, and perpetuating our Pacific cultures, celebrating our Pacific women, and all of the beauty that comes in all forms.”
She stressed that the event is about holding steadfast to our cultures so that our young boys and girls can have role models to look up to and positive influences, helping to create a more sustainable Pacific region.
The contestants and their topics are as follows:
- Elsie Polosovai (Contestant Number , Miss Solomon Islands ), her topic is ‘Education‘
- Litara Ieremia-Allan (Contestant Number 2, Miss Samoa), her topic is ‘Culture‘
- Racheal Guttenbeil (Contestant Number 3, Miss Tonga), her topic is ‘Tourism‘
- Pauliana Felise Vitale (Contestant Number 4, Miss American Samoa) her topic is ‘International Relations‘
- Kimberly Tokanang (Contestant Number 5, Miss Kiribati) her topic is ‘Socio-Economic Issues‘
- May Torowi Hasola (Contestant Number 6, Miss Papua New Guinea) her topic is ‘Health‘
- Charlei Andrianna Deiye (Contestant Number 7, Miss Nauru) her topic is ‘Sports‘
- Ngatepaeru Maoate (Contestant Number 8, Miss Cook Islands) her topic is ‘Environment and Climate Change‘
