Junior David is the only Solomon Islands soccer player whose club will advance to the next round of the Hahn Australia Cup and Federation Cup in the South Australia preliminary rounds in Adelaide.

David played the whole 90 minutes for Croydon FC in their 2-1 win over Salisbury Inter on Saturday 29th March. This secured their spot for the fifth round of the Hahn Australia Cup to be held in early April.

Rovu Boyers’ and Micah Lea’alafa’s clubs were knocked out of the Hahn Australia Cup and Federation Cup over the weekend. 

Boyers’ club, West Adelaide were defeated by Adelaide Hills Hawks 2-1 on Friday 28th March. The Solomon Islands midfielder came in as a substitute in the 67th minute to replace Shalin Nanayakkara.

Lea’alafa played over 70 minutes for his club Vipers FC in which they failed to book their ticket to the next round of the Hahn Australia Cup and Federation Cup after a 0-3 defeat on Sunday 30th March.

Another Solomon Islander Javin Wae did not feature for his club, Campbelltown City in the Hahn Australia Cup on the weekend. 

Defender William Komasi’s club, Adelaide Cobras was knocked out of the Hahn Australia Cup in round three.

All five Solomon Islanders are expected to feature for their respective clubs in round five of the South Australia National Premier League (SA NPL) next weekend.

David and Wae are playing in the SA NPL whilst Boyers, Lea’alafa and Komasi are playing in the South Australia State League One. 

David has played six games and started in four matches for Croydon FC. He has featured for his club as a right back and once played in South Australia’s biggest soccer venue Coopers Stadium, formerly known as Hindmarsh Stadium. This was when Croydon FC lost 3-2 to Adelaide United in round 3 of the SA NPL on Sunday 23rd March 2025.

Wae has played four games so far for Campbelltown City. He started in all four matches for his club and scored one goal in the 3-3 draw against WT Birkalla in round 2 of the SA NPL on Friday 28th February 2025.

In the SA State League One, Boyers has started in four matches for West Adelaide and so far, played five games for his club. The fifth game he played in was during his club’s 2-1 defeat to Adelaide Hills Hawks last Friday 28th March in the Hahn Australia Cup and Federation Cup SA preliminary rounds. Boyers has scored two goals for his club – one against Lea’alafa’s club Vipers FC during a 1-1 draw in round one on 23rd February 2025. His second goal for West Adelaide was in a six-nil triumph over Pontian Eagles in round two of SA State League One on Friday 28th February. 

Lea’alafa is a prominent player for Adelaide Vipers and has been featured in six matches in which he started all six for his club. He has scored one goal for Vipers in a 3-2 win over Eastern United in the first round of the Hahn Australia and Federation Cup on Friday 7th March 2025.

Komasi has been a main stayer for his club, Adelaide Cobra in the SA State One league, having started and played five games so far as a wing back. He started in all four rounds of the SA State League One and in the Australia Cup and Federation Cup SA preliminary rounds on Friday 7th March when his club was knocked out by Modbury Jets 1-0.
