FIVE national soccer players playing in the South Australia National Premier League (NPL) and State
League One which are managed by Football South Australia (SA) are settling in well in Adelaide.

Javin Wae, Junior David, Rovu Boyers, Micah Lea’alafa and William Komasi are all based in
Adelaide, South Australia.

Wae who plays for Campbelltown City FC and David for Croydon FC are playing in the South
Australia NPL, whilst Rovu (West Adelaide), Lea’alafa (Adelaide Vipers) and Komasi (Adelaide
Omonia Cobras) are playing in the South Australia State League One.

All five boys are settling in well and have been welcomed by members of the Solomon Islands
Wantok Association (SIWASA) in Adelaide last Sunday.

A social gathering was organised by SIWASA members on Sunday 23rd March along with ni-Vanuatu
players playing in the State League Two as well as seasonal workers from both Solomon Islands and
Vanuatu in attendance.

The Sunday afternoon barbecue was to get to know the soccer boys and make them feel welcome as
well as to meet other wantoks and friends from Solomon Islands and Vanuatu who are in Adelaide.

Wae, David, Boyers and Komasi share a home in Adelaide with some Vanuatu soccer boys who are
also playing in the SA state league two whilst Lea’alafa resides on his own.

Wae and David are competing in the SA NPL which has a total of 12 clubs. After Round 4 matches
last weekend, Wae’s Campbelltown City is currently in 9 th position and David’s Croydon FC is in 10 th
place.

In the State League One, Boyers’ West Adelaide is in third position after round four matches on the
weekend, Komasi’s Cobra is in 8 th place and Lea’alafa’s club Vipers is ninth on the ladder.

Some of the boys will be playing for their clubs in the 2025 Hahn Australia Cup South Australia
Preliminary round four matches this weekend.

The Hahn Australia Cup is an Australia version of the FA Cup in English Football where state teams
enter progressive stages with qualifying rounds in a knockout match. Each of the regional, state or
territory-based member federation is granted a team allocation for entry into the main competition,
joining clubs from A-League men.

For 2025, Football SA has achieved a record number 57 entrants for the Hahn Australia Cup 2025
preliminary rounds from across the National Premier League, State Leagues, Regional Affiliated
Associations, and the South Australian Amateur Soccer League (SAASL).

Adelaide United is not eligible for the Preliminary Rounds as they will join directly from the final
rounds as an A-League Club.

Boyers, Junior, Wae and Lea’alafa are expected to feature for their clubs starting this Friday for round
four of the 2025 Hahn Australia Cup. Komasi’s club Cobras lost to Modbury Jets 0-1 in round 3 and
will not play this weekend.

The boys should be back for their clubs again in round five on the first weekend of April with Wae’s
Campbelltown City up against Adelaide Comets on Friday 4 th April at the Steve Woodcock Sports
Centre. David’s club Croydon FC will take on Para Hills Knights on Saturday 5 th April – Feel Good
Physio Co. Stadium

On Saturday 5 th April, Lea’alafa’s Vipers club will take on South Adelaide in the State League One
competition and Komasoi’s club Adelaide Cobras faces Sturt Lions at the Karinya Reserve.

Boyers’ club West Adelaide will be up against Salisbury United on Sunday 6 th April at the Kilburn
Sportsplex to cap off round five of the SA State League One.

Meanwhile Raphael Lea’i, the sixth national soccer player plying his trade in the New South Wales
(NSW) NPL with Wollongong Wolves is expected to line up for the Wolves against Sydney United 58
FC on Sunday 30 th March at the Macedonia Park, Berkeley, Wollongong, NSW.
