The Blue Eagles scored early in the 32nd minute through Xuan Cappellino and looked to gain three points as the match draws toward end. However West Adelaide kept fighting until Boyers cut in from the left to head home a curling cross from Jun Ota in the 91st minute.

In another FSA State League One match on Saturday, William Komasi marked his return from injury to help Adelaide Cobras in a 2-0 win over Pontian Eagles.
A key player throughout the whole duration of the match, Komasi was vital in defence, contributing to preventing his Pontian opponents from scoring.
“Big 2-0 win for the Seniors against Pontian Eagles! Solid performance, strong across the park, and back on track. The boys looked sharp, energised, and hungry — great to see the momentum swinging our way. Let’s keep it rolling,” Cobras stated in their social media page.
Cobras are ninth on the FSA State League One table.
Another Solomon Islander Micah Lea’alafa began his FSA State League One Round 14 match for Vipers FC on the bench.
Their opponents, Salisbury United scored during the 43 rd minute to make it 1-0. Lea’alafa came on in the 67th minute, however the score remained 1-0 in favour of Salisbury until the final buzzer. In the FSA National Premier League (NPL), Junior David came off the bench in the 85th minute for Croydon FC and immediately made an impact against Adelaide Comets. Croydon was already leading 2-1 against Comets and in the final added minutes of the match, Junior blocked a clearance outside the box from the opposition keeper which led to his side’s third goal.
Waiting for the keeper the leave his box, David speeded forward and jumped high to block the ball with his back. The ball bounced back and in the eventual contest, the keeper cleared it straight back to Croydon player Alexander Goode to score the third goal.
The match ended 3-1 and David’s role in the third goal helped crushed Comets dreams of an equaliser.
Croydon now sits in fourth position on the FSA NPL table and the Comets are in tenth.
Another FSA NPL fixture on Saturday saw Javin Wae named as part of the match day squad for Campbelltown City against Playford City. However, he was an unused substitute in this 3- 2 defeat by Playford.

In the New South Wales (NSW) NPL, Raphael Le’ai was on target as he scored the opening goal for the Wollongong Wolves in a 2-0 win over Central Coast Mariners in a Round 19 match on Saturday.
Le’ai scored in the 20 th minute when he stole the ball away from a Mariners’ player and
dribbled into the box before blasting it past the keeper with his trademark strong left-footer.
Marcus Beattie then added the second straight after the restart when Mariners played the ball back to the keeper whose attempted clearance fell straight to the Wolves player.
Leai was later replaced in their 86 th minute as the Wolves enjoyed another rare victory, this time away at Mariners’ territory in Pluim Park, Central Coast.
