The 10 Members of Parliament that resigned from the Government have joined forces with the Opposition and Independent Grouping ahead of the motion of no-confidence Tuesday next week.
Before Parliament resumed this morning, a total of 25 took a photo and then walked over to the Opposition bench.
A statement from the Opposition said the group currently sits at 26 MPs, with Member of Parliament for Ulawa Ugi William Marau currently overseas on medical grounds.
The statement claimed Marau is also one of the 10 government MPs that resigned this week.
He signed his resignation before he left overseas.
He has assured his allegiance and is steadfast and committed to the group.
The Opposition claimed after this morning’s sitting, more Government MPs have indicated resigning from the Government before the motion is tabled next Tuesday.
