The Australian High Commission is proud to bring Mr Jeremy Donovan, an Australian First Nations musician, artist, poet, public speaker, and educator to the Solomon Islands from 18 February – 26 February 2024.
He will visit primary and secondary schools in Malaita Province, Western Province, and Guadalcanal Province to share the music, art, history, and culture of Australia’s First Nations people.
He will teach students about different cultures and music. He will also perform in the Auki and Gizo markets and the Central Market in Honiara.

Mr Donovan has spoken and performed extensively throughout Australia and the world at some of the most prestigious international venues and events.
Mr Donovan is a proud Kuku-Yalanji man with family connections to several other language groups.
Australia recognises the deep and ongoing connections between the First Peoples of
our lands and waters and the peoples of the Blue Pacific.
Mr Donovan’s visit is part of the Australian Government’s commitment to strengthen First Nations partnerships and connections across the Pacific and Southeast Asia.
