Prime Minister Hon. Matthew Wale has concluded his official engagements in Australia and is set to travel to Auckland, New Zealand today.
Prime Minister Wale’s visit to Canberra reaffirmed the strong and enduring partnership between Solomon Islands and Australia, following high-level bilateral talks with Australian Prime Minister Hon. Anthony Albanese.
During their discussions, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to advancing shared priorities, including climate change, regional security and economic cooperation.
The visit underscored the importance of the Solomon Islands–Australia relationship, grounded in mutual respect, trust and a shared vision for a stable and prosperous Pacific region.Prime Minister Wale will continue his official program in Auckland next week, where he is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with New Zealand Prime Minister Hon. Christopher Luxon, on Monday.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade Hon. Rick Hou and Minister for Education and Human Resources Development Hon. Stephen Kumi.
