Voters in Marovo Constituency, Western Province, have given their outgoing Member of Parliament Chachabule Amoi a second term.

He was declared winner after counting of the Marovo Constituency ballots ended this afternoon.

Amoi contested against seven candidates under the People First Party banner. In the last parliament, he was part of the ruling DCGA government led by OUR Party leader Manasseh Sogavare.

He is a shareholder and director of Fair Trade Company which operates a wide range of business activities from shipping to timber exports.

Amoi first entered parliament in 2019 as a People First Party candidate.

He unseated former Prime Minister Snyder Rini, who held the Marovo seat for several terms.
