Prime Minister Matthew Wale has arrived in Canberra aboard a Royal Australian Air Force aircraft for high-level talks with Australian leaders starting today, June 2, 2026, receiving a ceremonial red carpet welcome at Defence Establishment Fairbairn.Â
Tomorrow (Wednesday), he will hold bilateral talks with Australian Prime Minister Hon. Anthony Albanese and Foreign Minister Hon. Wong, while Australian Opposition Leader Hon. Angus Taylor will also make a courtesy call.Â
The visit deepens the strong and enduring partnership between Solomon Islands and Australia, with discussions expected to cover development cooperation, security, and regional stability.
